Alexandria

Lifestyle

Just 4km south of Sydney is the dynamic inner-city suburb of Alexandria.

Proud of it’s industrial, working-class history this area which was once dominated by warehouses and brickworks, is now home to cutting-edge galleries, popular coffee haunts, mouthwatering patisseries and cool festivals.

The vibrant streets are regularly invaded by foodies who love to brunch at the Grounds of Alexandria or Bourke Street Bakery. Design lovers scour the many homeware stores and fitness fanatics and families frequent evergreen Sydney Park with its trike-friendly kids’ area, picnic and bbq spots, as well as an off-leash area for man’s best friend.

You won’t find transport an issue with the Green Square underground railway station and direct city bus routes close by. Likewise, a choice of public and private schools plus Sydney University are all within walking distance.

People

Alexandria and it’s surrounds displays an interesting mix of first home owners and renters of all ages.

Professionals and singles happily dwell alongside mature-aged empty nesters, whilst the quieter pockets attract families and retirees.
The eclectic Alexandria scene is never dull and is growing in popularity with young and old.

Homes

Cutting-edge warehouse conversions boasting soaring ceilings and contemporary apartments designed for low maintenance living, transform this once industrial landscape.

Many of the classic terraces and Victorian-style homes still remaining in Alexandria have been respectfully restored, with the most desirable properties are preserved in the esteemed ‘golden triangle.’
